We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Estate Planning Law Clerk to join our client's team. The successful candidate will assist in managing and facilitating the estate planning process, supporting attorneys in drafting documents, and ensuring compliance with legal standards. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in estate law and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in drafting and preparing estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
Conduct legal research related to estate planning and probate law.
Manage and organize client files and documents, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and deadlines.
Communicate with clients, providing updates and gathering necessary information.
Prepare and file legal documents with courts and other governmental agencies.
Assist with estate and trust administration tasks.
Qualifications:
Diploma or certificate in paralegal studies, law clerk, or a related field.
8+ years of experience as a law clerk, preferably in estate planning or a related area.
Familiarity with estate planning concepts and legal terminology.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in legal research tools and office software.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
