LITIGATION LAW CLERK

Hybrid (3 Days In-Office, 2 Remote)

Are you a seasoned Litigation Law Clerk with deep experience in Ontario’s legal system? Our client, a reputable downtown Toronto law firm, is looking to add a high-performing Litigation Law Clerk to their team. This role is ideal for someone with 5+ years of experience supporting complex litigation files from inception to trial.

🔍 Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full litigation files, including drafting, serving, and filing court documents in accordance with the Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure

• Prepare pleadings, affidavits of documents, motion records, pre-trial and trial briefs

• Coordinate scheduling of examinations for discovery, mediations, and court hearings

• Conduct legal research and prepare summaries of findings

• Liaise with clients, experts, court personnel, and opposing counsel

• Maintain detailed file records and manage critical timelines and deadlines

• File documents via Justice Services Online (JSO) and CaseLines platforms

✅ Required Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Litigation Law Clerk in Ontario

• Proficient knowledge of the Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure and court forms

• Experience with trial preparation, e-discovery, and document production

• Skilled in legal software such as ACL, Primafact, PCLaw, or similar tools

• Excellent communication, file management, and organizational skills

• Completion of an accredited Law Clerk diploma program
