The Proud is partnering with a well-established law firm in Markham seeking a talented Litigation Lawyer to join their dynamic practice. This position offers exposure to diverse litigation matters including civil, commercial law.

We’re looking for a confident litigator with exceptional drafting and advocacy skills. The successful candidate will be motivated to manage files independently, deliver strong client results, and grow within a respected legal team.
Responsibilities

Manage litigation files from intake through to resolution or trial.

Draft pleadings, affidavits, and legal submissions.

Conduct examinations, mediations, and court appearances.

Provide strategic legal advice and client updates.

Review and analyze evidence, discovery, and expert reports.

Negotiate settlements and manage client expectations.

Supervise and mentor clerks or junior associates.
Requirements
-
5+ years of litigation experience in Ontario.

Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

Strong drafting and oral advocacy skills.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
-
Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently.
