Corporate Commercial Lawyer – North York
A respected North York firm is looking for an experienced Corporate Commercial Lawyer to take the lead on mergers, acquisitions, corporate governance, and complex commercial transactions.

What your day-to-day will look like
You’ll manage a mix of corporate and commercial files from initial strategy through to closing.
Your day will include client meetings, document drafting, reviewing structures, and guiding transactions to completion.
The type of work you’ll handle

Advising on M&A, reorganizations, and general corporate matters

Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, corporate resolutions, and board minutes

Conducting due diligence and identifying key risks

Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and external counsel

Ensuring compliance with corporate and securities laws

Mentoring junior lawyers and law clerks

Supporting business development and key client relationships

Requirements

10+ years of corporate/commercial law experience in Ontario

Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario

Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills

Proven ability to manage complex corporate and commercial files independently

Excellent client management and communication skills
