We are immediately seeking an experienced Family Lawyer for an opportunity to join one of Toronto's top Family Law Boutiques. This prestigious firm, renowned for its expertise and success in complex family law cases, offers a dynamic and collaborative working environment. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in family law, demonstrating exceptional skills in negotiation, litigation, and client counseling. With a caseload featuring high-net-worth clients and challenging legal issues, this role demands a lawyer who is not only deeply knowledgeable in Canadian family law but also adept at navigating sensitive and emotionally charged situations with professionalism and empathy.   • Client Consultation: Conduct initial consultations with clients to understand their unique family situations, provide legal advice, and set expectations.

  • Case Management: Manage a diverse caseload, handling all aspects of family law cases, from initial filing to resolution, including court appearances, negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution.

  • Legal Research: Stay abreast of family law statutes, regulations, and precedents to ensure accurate and informed legal representation.

  • Advocacy: Represent clients in family court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and appeals, advocating for their best interests.

  • Negotiation: Engage in negotiations with opposing parties to reach settlements and resolve disputes outside of court when possible.

  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed of case developments and guiding them through the legal process with empathy and clarity.


  • Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing family law, with a proven track record of successful case outcomes.

  • Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts in a clear and accessible manner.

  • Empathy: Compassionate approach and the ability to connect with clients facing emotionally challenging situations.

  • Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate settlements and agreements in the best interests of clients.

  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with support staff, legal assistants, and other attorneys.
