We are immediately seeking a Family Law Clerk for an opportunity to join one of Toronto's top Family Law Boutiques. This esteemed legal practice, known for its exceptional handling of complex and high-profile family law cases, is looking for a skilled and dedicated individual to enhance their team. The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of family law procedures and documentation, along with strong organizational and communication skills. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties including managing case files, assisting in the preparation of legal documents, liaising with clients, and providing overall support to our family lawyers.   • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and schedule appointments in a professional and empathetic manner.

  • Document Preparation: Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, and correspondence related to family law cases.

  • Case Management: Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed, and deadlines are met.

  • Scheduling: Coordinate court appearances, meetings, and appointments for attorneys and clients.

  • Legal Research: Conduct basic legal research to support attorneys in case preparation.

  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the family law practice, including managing phone calls, emails, and office supplies.


  • Education: Law Clerk Diploma from a recognized program.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, with a focus on family law preferred.

  • Technology Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional and client-oriented demeanor.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.

  • Confidentiality: Understanding of the sensitive nature of family law cases and a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
