JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk to join the vibrant Real Estate Group at an esteemed Law Firm located in the heart of Downtown Mississauga. This position is perfectly suited for an individual who has a strong interest in Real Estate law and demonstrates excellent organizational skills. In this role, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team, handling a variety of tasks including document preparation, property transactions, and client communications. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Document Preparation and Review: Draft and review legal documents related to commercial real estate transactions, including purchase agreements, leases, and closing documents.

  • Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive due diligence on commercial properties, including title searches, zoning analysis, and environmental assessments.

  • Transaction Management: Coordinate and manage the entire lifecycle of commercial real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and deadlines.

  • Legal Research: Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide accurate and up-to-date information to the legal team.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth and efficient transaction processes.

  • File Maintenance: Maintain organized and complete electronic and physical files, ensuring accessibility and compliance with record-keeping requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and office software.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
