IP Law Clerk


We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Intellectual Property Clerk to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing intellectual property (IP) portfolios, facilitate the patent and trademark application process, and provide support to IP Lawyers. This role requires a keen interest in intellectual property law and strong administrative skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and filing patent and trademark applications, including corresponding with clients to gather necessary information and documents.

  • Maintain and update IP databases and records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Monitor deadlines for patent and trademark filings and renewals, and notify attorneys and clients accordingly.

  • Conduct basic IP-related research and provide administrative support in IP litigation matters.

  • Coordinate communications between lawyers, clients, and patent offices.

  • Prepare reports and documents related to IP portfolio management.

  • Assist in the management of IP docketing systems and ensure compliance with legal deadlines.


  • Diploma or certificate in paralegal studies, legal administration, or a related field.

  • 7+ years experience in an IP law environment or as a legal clerk, with a focus on intellectual property preferred.

  • Familiarity with patent and trademark application processes.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Proficiency in using legal databases and office software.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
