We are seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join our law firm in Mississauga, Ontario. The ideal candidate will be responsible for advising clients on various employment law matters, representing both employers and employees in disputes, and ensuring compliance with local and national employment laws.
Provide legal advice on a range of employment issues such as employment contracts, termination, workplace policies, and employee rights.
Represent clients in employment-related disputes, including wrongful dismissal, harassment, discrimination, and labor relations matters.
Draft and review employment contracts, severance agreements, and policy documents.
Stay up-to-date with changes in employment legislation and case law.
Conduct negotiations and mediations between employees and employers.
Litigate employment disputes in court when necessary.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in Ontario.
Minimum of 5+ years experience in employment law.
Strong understanding of federal and provincial employment legislation.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal issues.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
