We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Commercial Litigation Lawyer to join our law firm in Vancouver. The successful candidate will handle a wide range of commercial litigation matters, representing clients in disputes involving contracts, business torts, partnership disputes, and other complex commercial issues. This role requires a lawyer with a strong track record in litigation, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in all phases of commercial litigation, from case inception through trial, settlement, or appeal.

  • Draft and argue motions, manage discovery processes, and prepare for and participate in trials and arbitrations.

  • Provide strategic legal advice and risk assessment on various commercial disputes.

  • Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution methods when appropriate.

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business needs and legal challenges.

  • Work collaboratively with other members of the legal team and contribute to the development of the firm’s litigation practice.

  • Stay current with developments in commercial law and litigation practices.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited law school.

  • Licensed to practice law in British Columbia.

  • 7+ years of experience in commercial litigation, with a proven track record of success.

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and courtroom skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Ability to handle complex legal issues and multi-task on various projects.

  • Strong commitment to client service and ethical conduct.
