Corporate Legal Assistant

We are currently seeking a professional and proactive Corporate Legal Assistant to join our legal team in Edmonton. This role involves supporting our corporate lawyers in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate law, possess excellent organizational skills, and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate legal documents, including articles of incorporation, bylaws, resolutions, and annual reports.

  • Maintain corporate minute books and ensure corporate records are up-to-date and accurately filed.

  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements for attorneys.

  • Draft correspondence and legal documents under the supervision of corporate attorneys.

  • Conduct legal research and provide administrative support on corporate transactions.

  • Liaise with clients, external counsel, and government agencies.

  • Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.

  • Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, managing emails, and organizing files.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or certificate in legal assistant studies, paralegal studies, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in a corporate law environment.

  • Strong knowledge of corporate legal procedures and documentation.

  • Proficient in MS Office and legal management software.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
